Assisting a Federation exploit its Broadcast Rights

Fozmuz helped a Federation maximise the value of its broadcast and digital rights. We developed a strategy to exploit those rights, before testing the market and identifying the most suitable partner. The solution worked well for the Federation in both terms of audience reach and revenue. Fozmuz negotiated the rights deal on behalf of the Federation, and agreed the terms of the contract directly with the broadcaster, reducing the need for time-consuming and expensive legal procedures. We reviewed and managed the schedule of the event to ensure it was broadcast friendly, and determined the appropriate production specification. Fozmuz then ran a tender process to find an appropriate host production company to provide a broadcast signal to both the UK broadcaster, and to the international market.


Tendering the sub-licensing of Rights on Behalf of a Broadcaster

Fozmuz assisted the Broadcaster in valuing, packaging and tendering the rights to a major sporting event it wished to sublicense in order to re-coup some of its investment. In determining sub-licence strategy, we looked at not only the revenue that could be raised, but also the revenue impact on the Broadcaster. We also helped ensure that the sub-licence was compliant with the main rights agreement with the Federation.


Major Event Host Production

Fozmuz assisted a LOC on the tender for the provision of host broadcast production services on a major UK sporting event. This involved designing the tender, including ensuring it was compliant for OJEU purposes, as well as meeting the requirements of the International Federation and Rights Holder Broadcasters. We helped run the process, attract bidders, select the winner and ensure that all potential issues and uncertainties were contractually resolved.

Helping a Broadcaster assess its current sports rights portfolio, assessing the market and upcoming availability, to build a long term strategy for future acquisitions and priorities.


Digital Archive Strategy
